Cool, keep us informed bud. Hope you have a great time over there. Will you be online during that time? Although I've heard about China's infamous 'firewall' that keeps out all undesirable web sites.

Im already in China, started of in Hong Kong 1st Nov, came to Shanghai last week and yes to the firewall, i can get this one and derry rsm, irish, republican, srsm, a few others but no flute bands,no scottish daily record, but i can get the (glasgow) herald, no bbc anything, so basically you can get acsess to a lot but the problem is the internet providers that seems to be causing the problems, but a lot are block so censorship is still here.

Sure nobody wants BBC anyway lol. Good to hear you can get our site anyway. The firewall can't be that bad if it doesn't block sites like ours which is against a One Party Dictatorship like China and does block the British and US Broadcasting propaganda channels ;D

That must be something. Its supposed to be the biggest open public space in the world! Well, its bloody massive, it takes abit to walk from one end to the other, went up the tower gate balcony where chairman Mao made the speech which looks down on the square, felt great, i have some great photos from there looking down onto the square from the balcony and looking up to it with his picture in the middle but i cant put any pictures on forum or e-mails with this PC in the hostel.

Id say you got a "trip" from that comrade ;D, practicing your speeches up there. Id say its some feeling to have a couple million people down there listening.
I wouldnt have though people or tourists would have been allowed up there. Its still used isnt it?
There are big banners with pictures of Mao draping down isnt there?
By the way Jordan - what sort of camera are you using, like how many megapixels and is it professional, semi-prof or a standard sort of one?
