Cllr. Jimmy Fleming, publican and currently SF representative for Gorey electoral area on Wexford county council and Gorey town council will tomorrow announce his defection to Fianna Fáil.
This will grant FF a majority on the town council and grant FF 2 out of 4 seats on the county council area ward. It will also create a strong probability of retaining 2 council seats in 2009.
Local reaction is mixed.
