No Republicans in RUC RUC Chief Inspector Richard Russell has claimed that he is aware “that there are already a lot of Republicans in the police.” Mr. Russell will be advised that there are certainly no Republicans in the RUC, as no-one in that force can dare to style themselves as such. They are members of the British Crown Forces, and as such have declared themselves enemies of the Irish people. The RUC – regardless of the background of their members – are certainly not welcome within the true Republican community. His claim that there is a huge misunderstanding about the RUC amongst Republicans is incorrect as we are all too aware of their crimes and those of their English paymasters. No-one should collaborate with the RUC regardless of what those who purport to be their political leaders instruct them. Mr. McGuinness' claims at Stormont that the constitutional issue has now been settled are further example of the nauseating hypocrisy and double-speak of the Provos. Regardless of what the RUC wish to call themselves they remain the same British colonial police force and must be treated with the same degree of hostility.
