Venez Communist Youth Call for Unity
Caracas, Sep 18 (Prensa Latina) Venezuelan Communist Youth proposed the
unity of the national movement Monday in support for the proposal issued
by President Hugo Chavez to create a single party of revolutionary forces.
Outgoing general secretary of that organization, Carlos Aquino, described
this as one of the fundamental objectives of the 10th National Congress,
which closed Sunday with the participation of nearly 300 delegates.
We marked a strategic line to achieve the unity of the movement through
the union of all youth associations of the revolutionary parties,
confirmed Aquino in a press round.
Recently, Chavez called on the parties supporting him to create a single
organization in support to his proposal to strengthen the socialist
approach in the process of changes, begun in 1999, through a congress to
be held in 2007.
The Venezuelan communist youth favor a national association of students,
with decisions by the primary organizations with participation of all
political trends.
