I think it's blatantly obvious to Republicans on this board that this act (along with the burning and vandalising of vehicles and extensive damage to property) was carried out by regular Dublin scumbags with a heightened sense of Nationalism who only heard about the FAIR march that morning and subsequently made themselves (Un)useful. This is the problem I have with ‘nationalism’. Other nationalists that spring to mind would be the British Nationalist Party and the Nationalist 'socialist' parties prevalent in the U.S. which are basically white power/ Nazi parties (watch out for these scumbags btw).
Republicans favour a nation where ‘all of Ireland’s children are treated equally’, meaning people who live and work here and contribute to society, as is outlined in the Proclamation of Ireland. Anything less than this is completely contrary to Irish Republicanism/ Socialism and racists/ fascists/ sectarian scum are all enemies of Republicans and Republicanism and should be dealt with as such. Most immigrants contribute more to Irish society, financially as well as culturally, than the filth that carried out this attack. As a fellow Republican recently pointed out ‘It’s an insult to be compared to these filth!’ and it’s completely contrary to the Republican cause.

IS THIS what passes for Republicanism in Ireland today — blatant racism? These shocking pictures show a mob's understanding of 'protest' on the streets of our capital; cowards beating up two defenceless men. Our sequence of pictures will further disgust people today already shocked by the events that took place at the weekend.
This was the scene on Westland Row at 2.40pm last Saturday afternoon — when the dregs of our city were running amok supposedly in the name of Republicanism. Two innocent Asian shop workers who had noting whatsoever to with the Love Ulster parade or counter-protest — were allegedly dragged from their work premises and attacked by thugs on the street in broad daylight. Our four pictures clearly show two men outnumbered by a section of those who brought devastation and shame to Dublin.
One man is holding a steel or chrome chair aloft as the defenseless men are at the mercy of the mob. The thugs range in age from their early 30s to their teens. Some are
wearing hoodies and scarves to protect their identities. Preliminary indications from Garda surveillance and eyewitness reports suggest much of the violence last Saturday was "opportunistic" and involved drunken yobs. They emerged from pubs where
they had been drinking for several hours before the marchers gathered at Parnell Square and began showering missiles on the initial deployment of 300 gardai on the streets.
