That would be very interesting if you could come up with the goods comrade. I suspect that if there is evidence that the movement will use it to the best of their ability.

I will do my best, but certain people could lose jobs over it, i wonder would it be available under the freedom of information act? it was just said to me in conversation a few weeks ago, i did not ask the person too much at the time, and it could be difficult for me to bring the subject back up without him getting uneasy. But there might be another way, will work on it and keep informed

i wonder would it be available under the freedom of information act? It's worth a try comrade. I think it's €15 per request though.

Yes, I read something along those lines a while back in some environmental publication I got a lend of.
It goes back at least to the mid 80's, and the reasons why it was given over to shell for virtually nothing at the time are unknown.
I wont be able to get a copy of where i read it.

So if this information is more or less in the public domain, there is probably no point in me looking for documentation, to highlight it any further, but i will try get a copy of that publication booklet if i can
It was probably signed away for a few greencards or visas given the amount of immigration around the 80's negotiations must have started back into the 70's, when gas was virtually all we had. wonder what party was in power at the time of agreement?

Fianna Fail I think.
Where I read it wasnt a political journal or anything, just someone writing on Irish fossil fuels or someting like that where he mentioned it.

wonder what party was in power at the time of agreement? Take a wild guess bud. It was probably the same party who ripped up the old tram lines so they could never be used again. I few decades later, they gave the go ahead for the Luas!
