Define and explain your definition of imperialism today. How has it progressed,or does it even exsist at all?

Where to begin??!!! Great subject matter. Frustratingly complex with much to choose from. Imperialism takes on many forms. Even down to Madeleine McCann's disappearance and what can only be described as Racist Xenophobic and bigoted reporting in the "News" papers. The Imperialist attitude remains. The modern day Imperialist isn't quite as blatant when it comes to exploitation regarding slavery and advantage taking, but is still "blatant" in sublime forms such as "economic influence" George w Bush (Don't forget Blair) and the amazingly Illegal war in Iraq is probably the best example of classic blatant "old skool" imperialism. War means peace? Oh ok then, thanks! We'll have some of that then. I should take more time out to articulate this better, but hey. There's plenty more where that came from...

Unfortunately these folks still exist. Unfortunately some are in real positions of "authority"
