my grandfather would teach us growing up, and my sister and i took a class on it at the irish center in my city (bar, concert hall, library, educational facility, baquet hall... but mostly bar lol)..... i was able to speak to my family in irish when i was there recently too so i know enough to get by with conversations that arent tooooo complicated.

I was talking to a old friend of mine the other night who comes from Donegal, his daughter mentioned a friends new born wean called Fionn, but we don’t know how to pronounce it, does anybody know.

I would say it as "Feyoun" - as in "young".

it's the same as saying Finn. Fionn is just the Irish form.
