Ok comrades, can anyone give an example of hypocracy in the society we live in today? Ill start by exposing the hypocracy of the beliefe and law that it is ok to murder another person for the good of your country(army/war),but it isnt ok to murder someone for the good of your society or family etc.. I would rather kill a person for the good of my family than country. Why is this stupidly obvious hypocracy not picked up by people?

Democracy. I was just sying there on RL how a town like Crossmaglen(a community), which is overwhelmingly republican, does not have a democratic right to decide which side its on. It sort of suits nation states to set, for example, an entire provincial body of democracy. Such as northern Ireland. Crossmaglen dosnt decide its own direction, but Northern Ireland decides its direction. And it sort of relates to what you were saying RF32. You were reducing a persons choice of action down to the family unit - while the state wants it within its own limits - "the country". Hope im making sense here ;D So where's the democracy when the democracy is set by the state, not the people - or the town.

The death penalty in the USA. If a person kills someone chances are they will be sentenced to death. That to me is the biggest flippin hypocrisy, a life for a life??? We are no better than the person that commited murder, the one exception is the governments murder is legal. Or the court system. . . they create their own evidence to convict a person that may or may not be guilty yet use the scales of justice to convict this person with fabricated evidence. Okay where is the hypocrisy in this??? What ever happened to the truth shall prevail??? Peelers that race at high rate of speeds up and down the motorway yet have the audacity to issue someone else a speeding ticket. . . the ole do as I say not as I do!

The Irish Government supporting illegal wars in Iraq to build the economy but also citing international law when it suits? I believe this makes the Irish Government an Amoral body.

House prices being higher than some people can afford, yet those same people are making too much money to get on an affordable housing scheme. Not sure if that fits in the category of hypocracy or just capitalism at work. TV saying Bertie has done more for peace in Ireland than anyone else by supporting Imperialist terrorism. ( ) The US arming Israel to attack refugee camps in the interest of peace. In other words Israel attacks civilians leaving them homeless, then attacks them in refugee camps where they are forced to live. This has become common place and the media talk about it as if they have every right to do so. British Government paying the UDA millions in grants while they still have weapons and are invoved in criminality (even according to the IMC) and telling the IRA they MUST decommission to be part of any 'peace' proccess or be entitled to any aid.
