MySpace attempts to control the internet Revolution yet again!
MySpace is a phenomenon on the internet and one of the largest, most popular web sites in the world. It is a social networking site and allows millions of people to communicate with each other, meet new people and share interests. It was created by an American college student as a college project and soon took off. In 2005 MySpace was bought by Rubert Murdoch for $580million and internet users have been at the Billionaires’ mercy ever since.
I have been using MySpace for a number of months as an attempt to circulate information from an Irish Republican Socialist perspective and an attempt to educate people on the struggle for Irish liberation. I soon found that I had entered a sea of revolution and working class dissent and have seen first hand how organised the working class can be. Almost every member profile I've visited on the MySpace since I've found the site is calling for democracy, diplomacy and justice. I've visited literally thousands of them and 99% are anti-war, anti-Bush and anti-Imperialist. I must say that, at first, I was gob smacked by this because the television told me that everyone supported Bush and that everyone supported the Iraq war, but today I believe that there are more revolutionaries, from more different backgrounds, in the US and Britain per capita than their are in our wee country which has been rising and rising against the British Imperialist parasite, that has infested our country, for hundreds of years. I believe we have a mammoth amount to learn from the revolutionaries in the US. I see it now as, not so much a consumerist society, but one of millions of revolutionaries that has been kept oppressed by a anti-democratic dictatorship of extremely wealthy billionaires, their massive propaganda machine and their extremely vast armies of soldiers, police and many other 'independent' and secret Government organisations.
One of those organisations is indeed MySpace that is now owned by a staunch supporter of the Bush regime and the Iraq war, Rupert Murdoch. Perhaps not originally from the US but he fits in well with all the other filthy billionaires and parasites that run the U.S. economy.
The working class have been using MySpace for years to circulate information that never makes the news, on the television that has lied to me so much, and to try and educate their fellow working peoples about the parasitical nature of those billionaire business men. I have learned so much about, not only our own struggle in Ireland, but also the struggles for liberation all over the world. I have met many friends and tried to gain support for our own struggle for liberation as best I can.
But now it seems there are so many revolutionary and anti-state voices on MySpace now that the Billionaires have noticed us! They have noticed us and I believe they have started their anti-revolution campaign to pollute the minds of the open-minded and sometimes naïve working class in order to gain majority support for capitalism and Imperialism yet again, just like the British Government that has successfully smashed the Sinn Fein movement that had been in anti-imperialist existence for over 30 years, they plan to smash or bury the Internet Revolution.
MySpace has launched a special feature called, the ‘Impact channel’ ‘…and its a home for people and groups trying to make a positive impact on the world.’
This is like saying we should campaign for justice through a channel created and controlled by the very Billionaires and unjust world Governments who are responsible for any negative impact unleashed on the world and that we are campaigning and fighting against. I hope that people will not be taken in by the smiling picture of ‘Tom’ that acts as a representative for the monsters that rule us. I couldn’t care less to look into it, but just like Ronald McDonald and Mickey Mouse, I’m sure that today ‘Tom’ is simply a corporate logo and a friendly face that can appeal to the working class as an equal so the monsters behind MySpace can inject their poison into our minds.
The is an internet revolution happening right now and the revolutionaries who counter the propaganda machine have to keep working hard to educate the working class and liberate them from the ‘manufactured consent’ controlled by the Billionaires.
Comrades, I ask you to join the revolution and recognise that we are at war with the Billionaires and the Government and it has been waged by same. They are the ones who start the wars and allow young working class people to become cannon fodder in war zones. They are the one’s who put McDonalds, CocaCola and Nike on every corner and support their sweat shops and child labour. They are the terrorists, the obstacle to democracy and justice and with these people in power we can never live in a just, peaceful and truly prosperous society. We must recognise the desperate tactics of these parasites and also recognise that succeeding in over-throwing them is the only way to stamp out poverty, racism, apartheid, child labour, terrorism and injustice all over the world. Onwards to victory forever!
