In preparing a exit strategy for the UK the question has come up why can't those in the North retain a duel citisenship when Ireland is united? This opens a lot of what ifs but I think it is something worth debating over.
Not only that but those who are pushing for socialism if you are to appeal to the majority a clear plan on how to proceed is vital.

I think the British Government have to leave first. Then we can debate duel citizenship. If people understand the Socialist Republic and the nature of imperialism, they won't want British citizenship. But that will, invariably, be up to the British Government as they are the people who control the British citizenry. The Irish have no jurisdiction over this issue, nor do the working class for that matter, be they unionist, loyalist, republican/ socialist or nationalist.

Will the large pro british population allow the british to leave without some sort of commitment on the british governments side? That is why we are suggesting a plan for those who will still favor keeping ties with the UK. Everyone who lives within the 6 counties has a say on the matter as it is they who will either benefit or lose in the transition. This is regardless of what type of political structure the people will decide on.

I dont see why they shouldnt get dual citizenship. What differnce would it make? If they want to shag off to Britain, or have a scrap of paper saying they are a British citizen, then let them.
