Bankers Home Attacked

A group has claimed responsibility for attacking the home of former bank boss Sir Fred Goodwin and have warned "this is just the beginning".

Two emails sent to the Edinburgh Evening News in the early hours of the morning appeared to take responsibility for the vandalism.

Sent from an email account called [e-mail], one said: "We are angry that rich people, like him, are paying themselves a huge amount of money, and living in luxury, while ordinary people are made unemployed, destitute and homeless.

"This is a crime. Bank bosses should be jailed. This is just the beginning."

Although this may seem optimistic, unfortunately it is just more reactionaries placing blame on the wrong people. What I mean is, the Government are the ones who give the bankers the right and the freedom to do what they do. Why not get to the source? Why should soldiers be blamed for killing innocents when they are following orders on pain of imprisonment, torture or worse?

For the record I don't care what happens to wealthy bankers good or bad but they are not the problem. Even if bankers created and control the Government, to end injustice by those who control the economy (the Government) you would have to destroy or dismantle the body that controls the economy. Proxy or not.
