As the PDs break up as a party (and at the risk of sounding one sided ;D ) I think we must ask what's next for the scumbags that are now going out on their own to, no doubt, continue to act as a defence to the already extremely wealthy feckers who wish to plunder the resources of the Irish people to make even more big bucks for themselves?
Personally I think these scummers will go off join other big parties, accept large pay cheques and act as advisers for and defenders of far-right policies.
What think yee?

Im glad for sure ;D Did you see the vincent browne show last night? Leo Vardikar (Far-right FG blueshirt) - A PD councillor - Joe Higgins - and some idiot from the Irish Times were the guests. They were discussing this. You can watch it here tv3.ie/videos.php?date_mode=1&locID=1.65.169&newspanel=1It was very good. Vincent and Joe took lumps ouv the PDs. I just dont think it will make an ounce of a difference. Sure didnt the PDs split off from FF. These gombeens see difference between themselves where there are none but the superficial. They are worse than the sectarianism between SP and SWP. So anyway, they are one and the same. FF would have done the exact same things if the PDs werent there. I kind of like the fact that the electoral choices are between 5 main parties now. It removes the veil further, of 'choice'. Maybe to the benefit of the left...

The PDs split from FF to become a 'watch dog' of the party. No doubt to poke the party into adopting more right wing policies. FF then take the right wing 'liberal' *lol* PDs (2% of the electoral vote (which isn't the even the vote of the entire population)) into Government and allow them to coerce and shape the policies of the Government. A great way of making a mockery of democracy.
Yeah saw nightly news. Joe higgins was good but I still think he's reactionary for being in Government. I think he should be opposing Governmental rule with every fibre of his being. Actions speak louder than words - that goes for the main parties also.

Yeah thats a good point.
The goal of socialists should be to expose the state as illigitimate, and therefore the property rights it enforces. But didnt Costello favour taking seats within the establishment, particularly when he was on the council?

I think by participating in Government he sends a message to working people that the establishment of Government is okay. Not everyone can hear him speak but more will know that he is a 'Socialist' in Government. In my opinion Socialism and Government are in contradiction with each other. You can either have Socialism or Government rule but you can't have both, you can either be a Socialist or a supporter of Government but you can't be both.

It just shows how power hungry our politicians are. As soon as they have no hope of sitting in government they disband the party. No thought of working within their mandate to make things better for them, even outside the government. The thing is, they still have a mandate and they have walked away from helping them because they dont see the possibility of gaining power again. Its all about money and poer to these gits.
The IRSP are in exsistence longer,ha. I wonder how McDowell would take to the fact that a commie party has outrun his own.
