This is an example of how the media and establishment are setting the issue's, or creating the issue's.
There is no proof what-so-ever that immigration is an issue amongst people. That it is high up on their "list of priorities". Infact, a poll examining the reasons as to why people voted no to Lisbon exposed just how miniscule an issue it is to people.
But what polls and surveys like this do, is put questions on a plate. Ask "do you agree with immigration?", "How would you rate the government in tackling the issue of immigration?".
You will end up with something along the lines of 66% opposed imigration.
What it dosnt do is show whether it is an issue amongst people.
If I ask, "what do you prefer, Irish grown cabbage or Estonian?"
You might get something like 95% in favour of Irish cabbage.
So is Irish cabbage an issue amongst people? Shall we plaster it all over the front pages?
Notice above in the article that there is no statistic there which suggests immigration to be an issue, no more so than the state of the Irish Cabbage industry.
This is manipulation. They are attempting to shape public opinion and turn peoples attention towards immigration as opposed to the failures of the system and the multi billionaires and developers who have ripped the Irish people off all these years.
They are staging polls like this and making out immigration is of concern to people, when infact the polls say nothing of the sort.
