If that was the Irish Independent I'm sure it would enjoy a large cash injection from the Government. Did 'Village Magazine' get any Government funding like mainstream newspapers do?

I didnt know mainstream newspapers get government funding  Do they? first time I heard about it. Not surprisng though. Sure isnt the times run by the PDs ;D |

Yeah, there was a dicussion on this a while back when the 'Irish News' went under because the British Government stopped giving them some sort of funding. I'll have to look into it again but I'm pretty sure all the mainstream newspapers do.
