Topaz - the 'fresh new face' of (s)HELL

The seemingly new company called Topaz carries shell's petroleum products through our streets and into our vehicles, homes and businesses. Don't be fooled! Different face - same company.

The very fact that shell has initiated this face-lift for it's shell brand including all of it's vehicles and shell stations proves that the Shell to sea/ shell to hell campaign is working. We must keep up the momentum and create an even bigger headache for the multi-billionaires. The Irish Government has given this company the right to Irish resources but won't even grant Irish people a half-decent health service. We cannot let this go unnoticed.

Don't let shell succeed in their face lift - continue the struggle!

Iv been boycotting shell, but when the garages changed to Topaz I start using them.

This article claims Topaz purchased Shell's retail and commercial fuels business - www.ionequity.com/PDF/Topaz%20announces%20the%20purchase%20of%20Shells%20retail15.07.05.pdf

This article claims Topaz paid Shell for the use of their branding If they paid shell for the use of their branding - archives.tcm.ie/businesspost/2008/02/17/story30514.asp Does that mean that Topaz owned the retail and commercial fuels business in the first place and has now thrown off the Shell name?


Something doesn't add up.

You will see that 'Chief Information Officer, Tim Dolphin' joined Shell in 1990 but it dosen't mention when he joined Topaz, unless of course Topaz IS shell. Is it? Where do Topaz products come from?

Here are some quotes from the Topazenergy website. Notice it doesn't mention when any of these people actually joined Topaz yet it does mention when they joined Shell international or Shell Ireland. What does one make of all this?

Alan has been a Director of Topaz Energy Limited since December 2005. He previously held a number of senior finance roles with Shell International, and as Finance Director with Irish Shell Limited. Chief Operating Officer, Dr Frank Bergin

Frank was appointed a Director of Topaz Energy Limited having held senior positions with Shell both nationally and internationally. He joined Irish Shell Limited in 1990 where he held Brand and Sales Management roles in a number of areas including Lubricants, Commercial and Petrochemicals. Frank was appointed to the Board of Irish Shell Limited and Shell Northern Ireland Limited in 1999. In 2004 he was appointed as Shell’s Downstream Representative in Ireland. Frank graduated from NUI Galway with a B.Sc. in Physics and later completed a Ph.D. in Experimental Physics.

Tim joined Shell in 1990 and having held several financed based roles and directorships with the company, he was appointed Corporate Finance Manager in 2001. A graduate of Business and Commerce from UCD, Tim holds a Diploma in Professional Accounting, and became a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland in 1997 having trained with Ernst & Young




Here are a number of articles about how the Topaz 'BRAND' is to replace Shell. It doens't say anything about the supply changing which one would quite rightly assume was coming from Shell seeing as it was the shell brand wouldn't one?
