Peru paralyzed against government of Alan Garcia
The general strike, called by the CGTP, began all over Peru,today.
According to reports be Prensa Latina, the protest has great support in
the south of the country and somewhat less in Lima and other regions. This
afternoon awaits a major demonstration in the capital.
The national strike has the goal of protesting against the increasedcost
of living, the privatization of ports and airports, attacks on community
(communal) property rights, corruption in the executive branch and the
failure of the government to respond to demands by popular organizations
and regions, among other situations.
