Its also possible, if your strapped for cash like me ;D, to download any music you hear on youtube and turn it into an MP3 file, and then if you wanted write your own CD. I personally havnt bought any Music in well over a year since I discovered this. The last album I bought was Rage against the machine - disappointing. Here's an old official song you can download.... www.saoreire.com/mp3/Socialist%20Republic.mp3

Listen to the lyrics if you don't like the music. For anyone interested in Rap music you can check out Zearle. I don't even like rap but I like Zearle. You can download all of his albums for free on this official web site. www.zearle.com

I like 2 or 3 of their songs. But the thing is, and what i always find about albums, is that you get a few good songs (usually the ones youv heard already) and then the rest of the album is just crap that isnt even played or publicised. Nearly every album iv bought was this way.
Albums are too expensive and not worth the money IMO, and also, they stack up and stack up and they are never played again or very little - like DVDs.
If you considered the albums as a "collection" then maybe youd feel differently. Like coins or call cards.
Thats the grumpy old man in me speaking ;D
I downloaded all of zearles albums also. Its good they are free, because again, most IMO of the songs are very short and not spectacular - but the good ones are really good, like "real revolution", top stuff.

Thats also the good thing about youtube, in that you can pick and choose the songs.
I always thought that it would be a good idea for music stores to sell the songs individually and write them onto one CD. There is talk about this, but ther is problems with licencing etc.
