I think Leeson might be making Eirigi out to be a little too nationalist. Why have an opposition to British royals visiting if you don't make you're opposition to the US presidents or US imperialists visiting equally as loud. They should be making this clear.
I think even Richard Boyd Barrett made a better point even though he was given a shorter amount of time. Saying that, I think Barrett has a lot more public speaking and television appearences clocked up so he's probably used to it. Neither was he attacked so much.

I think thats a very good point you make. I think its a lot more complex, and requires more time, to explain why there is an occupation than to mention Britains war in Iraq etc.
Unless your going to bring up socialism, then even mentioning the partition is useless and comes across as nothing but nationalist. To me, the justification for republicanism is socialism - otherwise it dosnt make much sense alone in this day and age.
