I enjoyed 'Woman of the Spanish Revolution', posted by C1916, so much I had to search for more. This is a snip of a documentary about it. Pretty good info here. www.youtube.com/watch?v=VUig0lFHDDw

Indeed. Gives a good (and rare) view of roughly what went on. I think a good question brought up by the docu is should a minority force take control of the state or the economy in order to secure the revolution actually takes place properly. We all know that when the majority truly understand the revolution, the would support the revolution but often this happens after the revolution - if it succeeds. I suppose this would constitute a revolutionary Vanguard. What would people's opinions be on this subject? Should we create a poll on this subject?

i think everything depends on circumstances, i think a vangard in that sense is generally unnecessary but also not every situation is the same. grassroots workers organization doesnt need a minority ruling class that claims to speak for the interests of them. they can speak in their own interests with delegates as opposed to "leaders''. up unions.

Aye, that's a great song. Haven't heard much of Charlie and the Bhoys though. They seem okay.
