Kieran Allen of the SWP is running for position of general secretary of SIPTU.

I would be good to see a socialist get the position.

One thing that bothers me though. He must be ashamed at calling himself a socialist, marxist or communist, and equally ashamed of mentioning he's a member of the SWP/PBP. Seeing as there's not a single mention on his campaign website.

Is that where socialism is now?, an unmentionable word....

More cherry picking of socialism. Very sad really. I would rather see a proud socialist get such a position and smash this social partnership BS. How can we trust a union that says we should be partners with those who exploit us? We should stand up to those who exploit us and get what we deserve!
