I was wondering what other socialist republicans taught was the main "myth" or "perception" of republican socialism or indeed socialism on its own that is hindering its popularity amongst the working class?
I think that their are a few main perceptions that we dont take seriously enough,i think if these perceptions were destroyed then socialism and socialist republicanism might become more popular.
Is it the perception that socialism=communism=poor,un-exciting,dreery life?
Or maybe the perception that republican socialism=INLA=Drug dealing and violence=bad?
I personally love the idea of a quick and easily read FAQ that tackles these perceptions head on, people dont want to have to scroll through loads of documents or articles to find out if they could personally support something that is alien to them.Could something like this be done for republican socialism, has it allready been done?

I would also support the idea of the F.A.Q. I think that's a great idea but I also find that the working class are prone believing propaganda from many different right wing sources including the telly, radio as well as some organisations who claim to be working for the working class but in fact are doing everything but. These are other problems that have to be tackled.
All we can really do is provide literature that is easy to understand and outlines the political objective of the socialist republican/ republican socialist. A good start would be a F.A.Q.
