I'll participate alright, but as I said I can't speak for the organisation. As I said on other froums, that might sound a bit limp-wristed but as a small, new organisation people can often confuse a member as a spokesperson.
For instance SF types can blab away on politics.ie because people know they aren't the real spokespersons, Adams etc are. Since they probably know little about us they may take any contributor as the representative of Éirígí.

éirígí becomes a political party12/05/07 "In conclusion, we intend not only to radically redefine the nature of Irish society but also the struggle to achieve that change." I think this is good news for the Irish struggle for liberation as I believe a lot of ex-Sinn Fein members will be interested in joining their former comrades and might do so quicker than joining the IRSP. For some reason ex-Shinners seem to have a problem with the IRSP. It's something I've never fully worked out but if Éirígí is working towards the same ideal and can gain support from ex-shinners working towards a Socialist Republic and showing up the Adam/McGuinness leadership for what it is, it must be a good thing. I think, though, that Éirígí, the IRSP, the 32CSM amongst others should engage in discussing a broad front among both parties as a way of building the Republican Movement into a force with the support to achieve the aims they have set out to. A Republic which requires the participation and consent of the masses and works on unity and democracy cannot survive if there is no unity or democracy.

You have to factor in the demonisation of other groups by the SF leadership and the effect this has on ordinary members. Unfortunately as well the IRSM has been blackened by the media, perhaps worse than any Republican group in history.
When the average individual thinks of the INLA they think of the character-assasinated Dominic McGlinchey and Dessie O'Hare, the Tommy Savages and the Weldons and drug-dealing or the Nicky O'Hares or PJ Loughrans. Unfortunately they don't actually gain the true measure of the likes of McGlinchey, or Gerry Ruddy or many of the sound and dedicated Republicans within the IRSM or much of the good work it does.
We as an organisation have no problem with the IRSP, or the Provos for that matter. We simply had a political and organisational model which we felt was necessary at present.
