Thats exactly it. Even if elements of the INLA were involved in 'criminality', it does not discredit the organisation as a whole - no more so than if it were a garda or army officer discrediting the entire Gardai or Military. I think the risk for a secret army are obviously going to be greater given the autonomous structure, lack of discipline, lack of a centralised authority, lack of communication and the flow of information. The Ta Power document makes alot of sense - but I wonder whether it has been implemented properly.... (1) POLITICS IN COMMAND(2) INTERNAL DEMOCRACY (3) ABSOLUTE LEGITIMACY (4) COLLECTIVE LEADERSHIP(5) CENTRAL AUTHORITY(6) COHERACY (7) ACCOUNTABILITY( 8) DISCIPLINE(9) EFFICIENCY (10) EFFECTIVENESS And thats entirely the point. Where is the money? - the posters are, well, printer paper B&W. So I mean...

We have only expressed oppinion, i am not in am not in a position to be criticising either. the Ta Power document is interesting, i have never seen it before, i think i should educate myself more by looking through the various articles and posts, before passing comments, but open debate and discussion is more interesting.

That document is brilliant, i looked over it, but must go back on it a few more times, Irish history has to be the most complicated ever, I love reading from others about how great Costello was politically and millitarily, i had the pleasure of meeting him as a young boy and went to his funeral, he has inspired me ever since, This Ta Power document is a great insight into the hard task that was involved in getting to where, things stand at the moment, thanks for posting it and i am going to go through it a lot.

What in the recent raids (100?) on drug dealers?

I probably have the early edition, according to page 21 they got another AK47 and the bloke got 3 years, it does not say about any particular group who he stored it for. and according to page 4 they got an automatic machine gun, (never heard of one that was'nt auto) it states that it was captured from the I.N.L.A,
